The WormBot is built out of the platform of the MakeBlock XYplotter robotics kit. From a harware standpoint the WormBot simply replaces the drawing or engraving components of the XYplotter with a camera. The resulting robot is then fitted with a transillumination arm to image the worms with optimal contrast and the robot is affixed to an optically clear table that contains 12 slots to hold microtiter plates.
The Full BOM can be accessed from the Forum here.
The Kaeberlein Lab YouTube page contains full build tutorials for the wormbot.
